A Circular Economy Where Nothing and No One Is Wasted

The Kasandy Circular Economy Initiative (KCEI) is our flagship program — a bold triple-impact movement connecting people, planet, and purpose. We work with communities in Canada, to transform waste streams into opportunity through small-scale manufacturing, circular product innovation, and green economy entrepreneurship.

Our Mission

To lead a community-driven city-based circular economy initiative that transforms textile and household waste into new, purposeful products — while creating accessible, meaningful green jobs for refugees, newcomers, and individuals with disabilities.

Our Vision

To establish Vancouver as a global model for inclusive, sustainable innovation by building a local circular economy hub that diverts waste, develops talent, and delivers design-forward, ESG-aligned solutions for businesses and public institutions.

How ?

Through the creation of a fully integrated upcycling ecosystem that includes:

  • On-site repair and reworking of clothing

  • Manufacturing of textile-based materials (e.g., acoustic bricks, décor)

  • Transformation of household items into functional, beautiful products

  • Employment and skills training for individuals from equity-deserving groups

  • Strategic partnerships with businesses and the City to supply custom, zero-waste solutions aligned with ESG targets
