Education Access for Black Girls & Women

• In Canada, Black girls and women face higher suspension rates and lower access to mentorship.
• Only 3% of Black youth from low-income communities complete university.
• In parts of East Africa and the Caribbean, gendered poverty and early dropout rates block educational progress.

The Kasandy Foundation Education Access Fund invests in Black girls and women through:

  • University & college scholarships
  • School supplies, transit, housing & tech
  • Mentorship & peer support networks
  • Mental health and wellness supports
